Craig Ranch Overview

Craig Ranch is one of North Las Vegas's newer residential communities: a gated, master-planned family neighborhood built by Century Communities near the corner of Lone Mountain Road and Camino del Norte. The first sales opened in the late 2010s, with a community grand opening in January 2020.

The plan has a set of collections and a network of neighborhood parks, about five miles of trails and a community amenity center. Location is one of its biggest draws: the 215 Beltway is close, I-15 is a short drive, and the area around the VA's North Las Vegas Medical Center is a major employment center.

It is easy to confuse the community with the regional park of the same name. Craig Ranch Regional Park, a roughly 170-acre city park on West Craig Road, is a separate place and an excellent nearby resource. This guide covers the residential community.

Housing & floor plans

Craig Ranch opened with roughly 13 floor plans and has expanded the lineup as newer collections arrived, with some homes under about 1,500 square feet and larger two-story plans approaching 2,000 to 2,600-plus square feet, with up to four or five bedrooms and two-bay garages. Single-story and two-story home models from multiple neighborhoods share the gated community.

Because the community is built in phases, newer phases carry the most recent lot configurations and upgrades. My typical Craig Ranch buyer is a family, a growing household, or a seller looking to understand what their home is worth in a community that is still establishing its resale history.

Century Communities is the developer, and its model center for the plan is in the community. I do not represent builders, which matters in a newer community: my job is to help you read the evidence behind the price, not sell you the floor plan.

Outside

Parks & trails

The community was planned with multiple neighborhood parks and about five miles of walking and nature trails threaded through it, with a community amenity area serving residents. Cyclists, walkers and dog owners tend to live in the trail system daily.

Just outside the community is Craig Ranch Regional Park, a huge 170-acre city park with dog parks, a skate park, sports fields, an amphitheater and a community garden. The park is a great recreation anchor, but it is a city park, not a part of the residential community.
