Lake Las Vegas
in Henderson

Lake Las Vegas is the master-planned resort community in east Henderson built around a 320-acre private lake on a master of about 3,592 acres. The lake filled in 1991, the Hyatt opened in 1999, and the Mediterranean-style waterfront village followed in 2003, giving the valley its only real lakeside residential address.

The authority guide

What Lake Las Vegas is

Waterfront living in the Mojave: a private lake, a walkable water village, resort hotels and golf, all wrapped in gates.

The idea existed for decades before it became real, and the lake residents see today was built: the dam was completed and the lake filled in 1991, Transcontinental Properties carried the build-out through the 1990s, and the town and resort parts followed around the turn of the century.

The master holds roughly ten named sub-communities around the water. The recognizable ones are the Village at Lake Las Vegas, MonteLago Village, the guard-gated South Shore with its Jack Nicklaus signature country club, the North Shore, the Islands, Reflection Bay and Caliza, with the Del Webb 55+ neighborhood added in the 2010s.

For buyers the honest trade is calm and water against distance: resort life, golf privacy and gated streets are the daily reality, while most errands run a few miles toward the Galleria corridor and the 215.

Future lake project: per-area child pages (MonteLago Village, South Shore, the Village, Reflection Bay, Caliza) will be a dedicated build; the verified map lives here now.

The water

320 acres of private lake

The lake is the entire point. It is privately held, spans about 320 acres, and carries roughly 10 miles of shoreline that the homes, hotels and marinas share. Boating, lakeside walks and water views are real amenities, not marketing.

Golf and club

Golf and the club scene

Golf arrived with the water: the Reflection Bay course runs along the southern side, and the South Shore community wraps its own private country club with a Nicklaus signature course. The clubs belong to the residents; the shops and hotels along the townfront welcome everyone.

55+ living

A 55+ niche in a resort

The Del Webb community at the north end delivers what the resort alone cannot: a gated, single-story 55+ neighborhood with its own club life, a mile from the water. It is one of Henderson's newest active-adult addresses.

Living here

Who the lake fits best

Lakeside living suits second-home owners, empty nesters who value walking and water, and luxury buyers who want the desert's only true lakefront. The Del Webb village demonstrates that the 55+ version of the lake feels lived in every day.
