Anthem is a master-planned community in Henderson's southeast foothills that Del Webb began opening in 1998. The Anthem Community Council organizes it into six member communities: Sun City Anthem, Anthem Country Club, Coventry, Solera, Anthem Highlands and Terra Bella, with two golf clubs and roughly 15,000 homes across a master plan of roughly 4,700 to 5,000 acres.

What Anthem is
Anthem is not a single neighborhood. It is a community of communities, and the six official members each behave very differently.
Del Webb acquired the land through a swap with the Bureau of Land Management, Henderson annexed the first phase in late 1997, and Anthem opened in 1998. After Del Webb merged with Pulte in 2001, later villages were built under Pulte. The result today is a hillside community in miniature, crossing from homes priced for everyday families to gated golf and estate living.
For buyers the difference matters: Sun City Anthem, Solera and Terra Bella are active-adult, age-restricted communities, while Anthem Highlands and Coventry are family-oriented, and Anthem Country Club is a private gated member community built around its golf course.
Anthem sits in the southeast corner of the Las Vegas valley, below the Black Mountains, about 25 minutes from the Strip, a short drive from Lake Mead, with the 215 Beltway feeding the rest of the valley.

One master plan, six members
The Anthem Community Council describes Anthem as one master-planned community made up of six member communities: Sun City Anthem, Anthem Country Club, Coventry, Solera, Anthem Highlands and Terra Bella. Each keeps its own clubs, age mix and, in most cases, its own entrance.
That framework changes the way you shop. A home in Anthem can sit in the family neighborhoods of Anthem Highlands, inside the 55+ area of Sun City Anthem, in the condominiums of Terra Bella, or behind the gates of the Country Club, and each choice is a genuinely different experience.
Two very different golf clubs
Anthem offers golf at both ends, the public and the private. Revere Golf Club, on Hampton Road inside the Sun City area, opens its 36 holes, the Lexington and Concord courses, to the public. Anthem Country Club, on Club Side Drive, is the members-only side, a gated 18-hole course designed by Hale Irwin.

Public schools for the Anthem area
The Anthem area of Henderson is part of the Clark County School District, with the usual feeder chain running from Lamping Elementary to Del E. Webb Middle School to Coronado High School.
Foothills living with valley access
Anthem climbs the lower slopes of the Black Mountains and the McCullough Range, which buys elevation, ridge views and mountain lookouts that the valley floor cannot offer. The 215 beltway runs to the west, Lake Mead and Lake Las Vegas sit to the east, and the Sloan Canyon area is a short drive for desert recreation and sunsets.
