Heartland Overview
Heartland at Tule Springs is one of the newest real estate destinations in far north North Las Vegas, a D.R. Horton collection of neighborhoods built from about 2022 onward on the city's northern edge. The name comes from the Tule Springs area, and the community sits within easy reach of the 215 corridor.
Because it is recent, Heartland is a new-construction community: buyers purchase from the builder or resale of homes only a year or two old, in a desert landscape that is still being landscaped in phases. Each of the neighborhoods carries its own name and phases.
A common misunderstanding is that Heartland and The Villages at Tule Springs are the same or nested. They are two separate master plans with an overlapping area name. They are peers, not parent and child, and each has its own guide on this site.

The community grows by named collections: Heartland Bay, Heartland Trails, Heartland Cottages, Heartland Manor, Heartland Summit and Heartland Falls, each with phases that open over time. Home types differ by neighborhood, from townhome-style plans to larger single-family single-family homes.

Like the other far-north communities, Heartland sits at the edge of the valley's open desert, and the built-in recreation comes from community parks plus the surrounding regional preserves. The Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument, the source of the area's name, is a short drive and a different place: public land, managed by the National Park Service, not part of the residential community.
Craig Ranch Regional Park
The city's roughly 170-acre regional park at 628 W Craig Road, with dog parks, a skate park, an amphitheater, ball fields and a community garden. It is a regional park, not the Craig Ranch residential community.
